How to tell if you’re in love with your Nokia N8

                It´s love

Being in love is one of life’s great pleasures. We’ve all been there. Having our heart skip a beat when we see the object of our affection. Feeling overwhelmingly content when we hold them close. But these emotions aren’t restricted to other human beings. More and more, we’ve seen people acting like this with their Nokia N8. They are smartphone lovers. And who knows, you might just be one of them. But don’t worry, you’re certainly not alone. A recent study by Pew found that 83% of 18-29 year olds can’t bear to go to sleep unless their phone is within arm’s reach.
But sleeping with your beloved isn’t the only trait that says you and your device have a very special relationship. Here are four more.

You can’t stop buying presents for your Nokia N8
You want only the best accessories for your Nokia N8. You already got a bundle of them when you bought it, but you find yourself constantly searching for more. Should you get wireless headphones so you can better enjoy your vast array of music, or a tripod so you can take even better pictures with the 12mp camera? The list of possibilities is endless and you want it all.

When you meet other people with a Nokia N8, it’s all you talk about
“Cool, you have a Nokia N8 too! I thought about getting silver, but in the end I couldn’t take my eyes off the orange. It was love at first sight. Have you played Asphalt 5 HD on it yet? Yeah, it rocks!” If this sounds like the sort of conversation you have when you meet a fellow N8 owner just accept it. You’re infatuated.

You’ve cut back on necessities to afford your monthly smartphone bill
Of course eating lunch is important, but if you make your own sandwiches rather than eat at the local deli, you can save big over a month. Less food means more money to spend doing what you love best; speaking, texting and surfing on your Nokia N8. Maybe you could bike to work instead of getting the bus. Or move to a cheaper house, or sell your stereo. Does this thinking sound familiar? Then love is in the air.

You feel intense panic when you’re apart
And we’re not talking about losing your Nokia N8, we’re talking about you realizing you’ve left it at home. You start sweating as your heart beats like a runaway train. “What if people try to call me?” you think. What if I get the chance to take a great photo or movie? What if I can’t find the nearest pub? What will my Twitter followers think? This obsessive attachment means only one thing. You’re all pumped up with passion.
If you’ve got any other habits that show you’re a Nokia N8 lover, don’t be shy. Why not celebrate your devotion by sharing your romance with the world.

5 reasons why the Nokia N8 could be the world’s greenest smartphone

When it comes to buying a smartphone, there are a thousand and one different things to look for. But how many people do you think consider a device’s environmental credentials before they part with their hard earned cash? Ten percent, twenty percent? Well, according to research this year by operator Q2, it’s a massive 44% and the number is growing every year. If you’re one of these people who want a smartphone that won’t cost the earth, you’ll be pleased to hear why we think the Nokia N8 could be the world’s greenest smartphone.

It’s made by the world’s greenest electronics company
When Greenpeace says you’re the world’s greenest electronics company, you know you’re on the right track. For the second year running, Nokia has taken the title, scoring highly when it comes to everything from recycling and eliminating toxic materials to planning for a device’s end. The company with the most eco looking logo, came ninth.

It’s incredibly energy efficiency
It’s amazing how much energy we waste. If the one billion people who use Nokia devices unplugged their charger when the battery was full, we’d save enough energy to power 100 000 European homes! Fortunately, the Nokia N8 comes with an unplug charger reminder to help you do just that. It also has a power saver mode, comes with the Fast Charger AC-15 (which has extremely low no-load energy consumption), and has an OLED display ambient light sensor.

It’s manufactured with greener materials
Scientists estimate that plastic could take anything from 500 to 1000 years to biodegrade. Studies also suggest that between 7% and 8% of the world’s fossil fuels are used in producing new plastics. Two great reasons to celebrate the fact the Nokia N8 uses bio plastic made of fermented corn sugar. What’s more, the Nokia N8 is totally free of PVC, BFR and RFR.

Its packaging is 100% recyclable
It might not seem like a big deal, but packaging accounts for a huge amount of waste. In the consumption capital of the world, the USA,  it’s more than 50% of household rubbish. With packaging that’s 100 % recyclable, hopefully, packaging for the Nokia N8 won’t join this mountain.

Its parts are 100% recyclable and recoverable
The huge growth in smartphones has led to a huge growth in digital waste. In the US alone, 100 million mobile phones are thrown out every year, of which currently only around 18% are recycled. The Nokia N8 is made from materials that are 100% recyclable or recoverable for energy, which is not just good for the planet but good for your bank balance.
There you have it. Five very good reasons why we think the Nokia N8 could be the world’s greenest smartphone. If this proves to be the case, it wouldn’t be the first Nseries to fly the eco flag. (In 2008, Greenpeace named the N95 the world’s second greenest phone) But it would be the first greenest smartphone that can be bought in the colour green too!
