hole.We are entering a wonderful, and wonderfully distracting, time of year. A perfect time to re-train your brain to focus. With Brain Challenge 3 – Think Again! from worldwide game publisher Gameloft SA you can train your brain any time you have a few minutes.
Brain Challenge 3 – Think Again! is available for $2.99 (USD) in Ovi Store and is compatible with Nokia Symbian devices. I train with the English version on my Nokia N97. It is available in other languages, but the language depends on which version you install so I am not entirely sure which ones are available. Ovi Store should present you with a localized version based on your profile.
Like any good training program, Brain Challenge 3 starts by establishing a baseline profile. How well (or not) does your brain work now? Take the test to find out.
As you enter the training game, you are presented the typical option of turning sound on or off, which presents a challenge …
… when you are presented with the first challenge to LISTEN to the musicians.
The first time I encountered this dilemma I tried to go back to the options menu to turn sound back on. I need not have worried; once you get into the music party test all you’re really doing is repeating the order in which the musicians play, and you can see the order even with sound off.
The set of challenges continues, including one designed to improve focus (you need to see and remember which frogs eat which coloured insects) and my favourite, a rotating maze that you manipulate to drop a ball into a hole.
Brain Challenge 3 tracks your progress as you train your brain while playing this fun game. The skills you develop may come in handy during the coming holidays. For instance, your new talent for tracking feeding frogs just might come in handy at the next holiday buffet … hey, you never know!
